Electrical conductivity in the Hubbard model: Orbital effects of magnetic field

نویسندگان

چکیده

The authors study here electrical conductivity in the Hubbard model on a square lattice perpendicular magnetic field. They present formalism full detail, and perform extensive dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) calculations to scan phase diagram. show that vertex corrections cancel within DMFT, reliable results can be obtained even from zero-field self-energy. dc exhibits Shubnikov--de Haas quantum oscillations as well asrecently observed Brown-Zak oscillations.

Effects of a magnetic field on the spin-orbital model

We study the effects of a uniform magnetic field on the one dimensional spinorbital model in terms of effective field theories. Two regions are examined: one around the SU(4) point (J=K/4) and the other with K ≪ J [see Eq. (1)]. We found that when J ≤ K/4, the spin and orbital correlation functions exhibit power-law decay with non-universal exponents. In the region with J > K/4, the excitation ...

Extended Hubbard model in the presence of a magnetic field

Within the Green’s function and equations of motion formalism it is possible to exactly solve a large class of models useful for the study of strongly correlated systems. Here, we present the exact solution of the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model with on-site U and first nearest neighbor repulsive V interactions in the presence of an external magnetic field h, in the narrow band limit. At...

Anisotropy of the optical conductivity of a pnictide superconductor from the undoped three-orbital Hubbard model

The resistivity anisotropy unveiled in the study of detwinned single crystals of the undoped 122 pnictides is here studied using the two-dimensional, three-orbital Hubbard model in the mean-field approximation. Calculating the Drude weight in the x and y directions at zero temperature for a Q = (π,0) magnetically ordered state, the conductance along the antiferromagnetic direction is shown to b...

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

The Conductivity Tensor for the Hubbard Model

A new theoretical analysis of the current-charge and charge-charge propagators is presented for the Hubbard model, using the static approximation for the Composite Operator Method. This approximation manifestly preserves a sum rule which governs the single-site dynamics. We compare our results with those obtained by numerical analysis.
